Spring Cleaning Tips | Preparing Your Home for Sale

Here are 3 helpful ‘spring cleaning’ tips if you’re thinking about selling your home — and if you’re not, feel free to pass these on to anyone you know who might be interested!
  1. Declutter! Consider donating things you no longer need, so you can improve your own quality of life and someone else’s at the same time. For items you only use occasionally, consider getting a self-storage unit to make your home appear larger (and make your upcoming move easier). Remember how excited you were when envisioning the space to be your own. A good declutter can help a potential buyer do the same.
  2. Make the most important improvements. Which upgrades have you been putting off? Now’s the time! And if you need advice on which upgrades will help increase the price of your home the most, I’m happy to share my thoughts any time. We are finding that in today’s market there is a lot of potential value you can unlock by doing simple improvements.
  3. Deep clean your space to make it look new and more valuable. People want a house that’s well cared-for. I find it is the little details that make a difference when maximizing your home’s value. I’m always available to offer my input. Feel free to get in touch any time, even if you’re not sure whether you’re ready to sell right now. P.S. I have an additional service I can offer that can cover the upfront costs of making improvements to help maximize the value of your home when it comes time to sell. Check out more on our Compass Concierge program by clicking here
